P - Sand.
The plastering marvel.
Plastering Sand also known as P-Sand is a very fine grade of sand that is used for plastering and creating renders both internally and externally. It is predominantly used for Wall Plastering and Brickwork purpose. Thanks to its fine particle nature, P-Sand creates a very smooth and even finish to your plastering. It can also be used for pavement jointing, to fill cracks of artistic paving and Interior Design work.
P-Sand is mixed with cement in the ratio of 1:4 (Internal Work) and 1:6 (External Work).
A granule thickness of 150 microns to 2.36 mm is ideal for Block Masonry and Plastering Work

Advantages of P – Sand.
-
P-Sand can be produced in areas closer to construction sites, bringing down the cost of transportation. Also, when utilised efficiently it creates a high-value product providing an assurance of consistent supply.
-
Using P-Sand can drastically reduce the costs unlike river sand, as it does not contain impurities and wastage is completely negated. In most International Construction Scenarios, the usage of river sand is completely NIL, only sand that is manufactured are used, which in turn gives superior strength and its cubical shape ensures a significant reduction in the cement used in the concrete.
-
P-Sand is free of silt and clay particles and therefore has denser particle packing properties compared to natural/river sand. It also offers higher flexural strength, better abrasion resistance, higher unit weight, and lower permeability.
